Who runs the world? Staying focused on G-d is a constant life challenge.

“Don’t believe in other g-ds” is the prohibition against believing that there is any power in the universe outside of G-d. It is understandable how a positive action — like awareness of G-d or love of G-d — can be a constant mitzvah. But how can a “thou shall not” be considered a constant mitzvah?
